About the Role

The General Manager, St Helena Winery, will oversee the operational aspects of the luxury winemaking production facility, ensuring safe and efficient wine production, with a focus on wine quality and alignment to Treasury Americas (TAM) Supply strategic goals. This role is responsible for managing resources, costs, facilities, planning and personnel to support winemaking activities.

Key Responsibilities
* Oversee all operational aspects of the 14000-ton winemaking production facility, ensuring that production goals are met safely, efficiently and effectively.
* Responsible for winemaking operations, ensuring quality compliance from grape receival to fermentation to maturation to bottling.
* Develop and manage the facility OPEX and CAPEX budget, tracking expenses and ensuring cost control measures are in place.
* Hire, train, and supervise staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional development.
* Drive and role model a safety- first culture to deliver our global Destination Zero Harm goals.
* Identify and implement process improvement, equipment, technology and automation to enhance productivity, quality, and/or reduce costs, working closely with the winemaking team to understand their needs.
* Ensure that the facility operates in compliance with all industry and government regulations and safety standards, promoting a culture of safety among staff.
* Work closely with the winemaking team and other departments (e.g., maintenance and engineering, innovation, sustainability teams) to support production planning and coordination.
* Oversee the maintenance of the production facility, ensuring that all equipment is functioning optimally and safely.
* Provide regular reports to senior management on operational performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. Utilize analytics and data insights to drive informed and timely decisions.
* Deliver sustainability initiatives to deliver TAM and global sustainability goals.
* Responsible for risk mitigation of business interruption at the facility, including weather events, bio-security, employee relations.

About you
* You have a Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Business Management, Supply Chain Operations, or a related field desired, or equivalent work experience; advanced degree preferred.
* You have 7+ years in a managerial role within a production environment, preferably in the wine or beverage industry.
* You have a proven track record of outstanding team leadership and personnel management.
* You have a strong understanding of production processes and operational best practices.
* You have experience in budget management and financial analysis.
* You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
* You have demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, displaying excellent organizational skills and problem-solving ability.

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The base pay range offered for this position is $155,000 to $201,000 per year and other benefits. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work out of our St Helena location. If the incumbent works out of another location, the wage rate may fall above or below this range.
