Harvest Vineyard Sampler & Cellar Internship

About Us

Located in the iconic Napa Valley, Etude Wines is dedicated to mastering the craft of winegrowing. Etude specializes in Estate grown Carneros Pinot Noir and Chardonnay as well as Pinot Noir from other appellations which include Santa Rita, Santa Maria, Sonoma Coast and Yamhill-Carlton (OR). Etude also sources Cabernet Sauvignon from the Napa Valley.

About The Role

This position will work closely with the winemaking and viticulture teams in monitoring Sonoma Carneros Estate and Napa Valley grower vineyards prior to and during the grape harvest. Duties include grape maturity sampling and analysis, crop estimates, pest and disease scouting, water status monitoring, and other vineyard sampling as required.

There is potential to transition into the winery cellar as the season progresses.

Position starts: July/August through November, season dependent.

About You

* Prior vineyard/winery experience is desired, but not required.
* Motivated with a strong desire to learn
* Attentive to details.
* Safety Focused.
* Able to work as a dynamic and contributing team member in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication skills.
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to manage priorities and workflow
* Able to work overtime as required daily and on weekends.
* Able to build great relationships with team members
* Computer proficiency required. Word/Excel.
* Clean Driving record.
* Able to lift 30 lbs

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The base pay range offered for this position is $20 to $25 per hour. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work out of California, specifically the Napa area. If the incumbent works out of another location, the wage rate may fall above or below this range. Treasury reserves the right to modify the range in the future.
