About the Site

Located in the iconic Napa Valley, Etude Wines is dedicated to mastering the craft of winegrowing. Etude specializes in Estate grown Carneros Pinot Noir and Chardonnay as well as Pinot Noir from other appellations which include Santa Rita, Santa Maria, Sonoma Coast and Yamhill-Carlton (OR). Etude also sources Cabernet Sauvignon from the Napa Valley.

About the Roles

This is an opportunity for those interested in winery cellar Internships to get exposure to high-quality small lot wine production while learning a broad range of skills. Experience includes receiving and processing grapes, fermentation and cap management, additions, pressing, barrel prep and filling, and sanitation. Comprehensive training in winery safety, forklift certification, grape and must evaluation, exposure to mobile bottling, vineyard sampling, and comparative wine tasting.

This is a great opportunity for an individual to gain in-depth, hands-on experience in winery production practices. Individual must be motivated with a strong desire to learn ultra-premium winemaking, work efficiently and be a part of a high energy team. Successful candidates must be willing to work extended hours, work well in a fast-paced team atmosphere, have fun while learning and build camaraderie, and seek quality results.

Position starts: August through November, season dependent.

About You

* Interest in Enology, Viticulture, or related scientific field; or Winemaking Certificate program.
* Demonstrated commitment to the wine industry
* Previous winery experience is desired, but not required
* You can work as a dynamic and contributing team member in a fast-paced environment
* You have excellent communication skills; can communicate effectively in English
* You have strong organizational and problem-solving skill; ability to manage priorities and workflow
* Must work over-time as required
* And have the ability to build great relationships with team members

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The base pay range offered for this position is $20 to $25 per hour. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work out Napa, CA. If the incumbent works out of another location, the wage rate may fall above or below this range. Treasury reserves the right to modify the range in the future.
