About the Role

The Culinary Lead plays a hands-on leadership role in delivering a consistently elevated food experience that enhances the overall guest journey. This position supports daily kitchen operations by coordinating prep, guiding workflow, and ensuring stations are service-ready at all times. Acting as a culinary point person, the Culinary Lead upholds food quality, presentation, and safety standards while collaborating closely with hospitality and events teams to execute memorable tasting and event experiences.

Responsibilities:

* Coordinate daily kitchen prep schedules to support efficient workflow and timely service
* Ensure station readiness, including ingredients, tools, and setup for service and events
* Uphold consistent plating, presentation, and brand-aligned culinary standards
* Assign tasks and support culinary assistants and support staff during service
* Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and presentation
* Support training and onboarding of new or junior culinary team members
* Partner with hospitality and events teams to align timing and service execution
* Monitor inventory usage and communicate supply needs to minimize waste or shortages
* Support setup and breakdown for tastings, events, and special culinary programs
* Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards

About You

* You bring 3-5 years of culinary or kitchen experience, ideally in hospitality, tasting room, or restaurant environments
* You have strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper kitchen protocols
* You take pride in food quality, presentation, and consistency
* You enjoy leading by example and supporting the development of others
* You communicate clearly and collaborate well with guest-facing teams
* You're organized and comfortable managing prep flow, inventory usage, and station readiness
* You thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and can adapt during peak service or events
* You're available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and special events

Pay Transparency Disclosure:

Base pay: Hourly rate ranges from $25.00 to $28.37 per hour, based on experience, skills, role scope, location, and business needs.

Incentive pay: Eligible to participate in the Direct-to-Consumer Sales Incentive Plan (DSIP), offering variable compensation based on site performance. Incentive pay is not guaranteed.

Estimated on-target earnings (OTE): $24.33 to $26.97 per hour, based on base pay plus target DSIP at target performance (where applicable). Actual earnings vary based on site performance, hours worked, and role classification.

Tips: This role is eligible for tips. Tips are paid by customers and vary by location, shift, and customer volume. Tips are not guaranteed. Based on historical experience in some locations/shifts, tips have at times added approximately 16% to 29% above base pay for some employees.

Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, candidate experience, skills, internal equity, geographic location, and applicable employment laws.
