About the Role

As the Assistant Hospitality Manager for Sterling Vineyards' Luxury Experiences, you'll lead a high-performing hospitality team in delivering exceptional guest interactions and driving key direct‑to‑consumer results. You'll inspire, coach, and develop a team of Hospitality Associates while overseeing premium experiences, ensuring excellence in service, sales performance, and operational execution. In this front‑line leadership role, you'll elevate Sterling's reputation as a premier Napa Valley destination through best‑in‑class guest experiences, flawless operations, and a passion for wine, service, and hospitality.

Responsibilities:
* Lead, coach, and motivate a team of ~20 Hospitality Sales Associates to achieve DTC revenue, profit, wine club conversion, data capture, and AOV goals.
* Maintain strong cost controls, manage inventory, and develop sales incentives to drive performance.
* Uphold and audit guest service standards; engage directly with guests and resolve service issues.
* Oversee development and delivery of premium experiences, including food and wine pairings and elevated service training.
* Collaborate with Marketing, Central Operations, Retail, and Culinary teams on programming, Tock experiences, and POS setup.
* Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor staff; conduct performance reviews and lead daily pre-shifts.
* Manage daily operations including opening/closing, cash handling, POS troubleshooting, and compliance with safety and beverage service standards.
* Build relationships in the local hospitality market to generate referrals and brand advocacy.
* Act as an ambassador at special events and support wine club engagement efforts.

About You
* You thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment and love leading high‑energy sales teams.
* You bring 4+ years of DTC wine sales or guest service experience and a strong record of meeting targets.
* You're confident coaching teams of 15+ and inspiring performance through motivation and mentorship.
* You have deep wine knowledge and can confidently educate guests on winemaking and wine styles.
* You're organized, self‑motivated, and comfortable managing complex daily operations.
* You communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively across all levels.
* You're tech-savvy with strong MS Office skills and experience with POS and reservation systems.
* You enjoy working weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules in a dynamic, guest-facing environment.
* You represent the brand with professionalism, polish, and enthusiasm for Napa Valley hospitality.
* You can lift 40 lbs, are at least 21, and are willing to occasionally travel to other company locations.

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The base pay range offered for this position is $69,000 to $75,000 per year and other benefits. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data.
