Northeast Regional Sales Manager

Job Description:

The Northeast Regional Sales Manager position has become available at King Estate Winery. This role is responsible for partnering with King Estate’s distributors and customers to ensure broad market availability of King Estate wines and to achieve sales and profit objectives. In addition to overseeing the business administration of each state within the territory, the Northeast Regional Sales Manager will travel frequently to engage directly with distributors, buyers, and consumers. Strong business acumen and relationship-management skills are essential.
The Northeast region includes Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Vermont, and West Virginia.
Essential Job Functions
•  Conduct annual planning and goal-setting meetings with distributor partners in each state between November and January.
•  Complete mid-year performance reviews for each market between June and July.
•  Conduct quarterly in-market visits to each state in the region, or more frequently as business needs require. Maintain consistent visibility and engagement with distributor personnel through in-person market work, sales meetings, events, and account support.
•  Monitor distributor inventory, depletions, program execution, and progress toward annual goals, and provide monthly performance trackers to distributor management in each state.
•  Manage pricing in alignment with the winery’s established guidelines.
•  Achieve annual regional case goals and meet established profit objectives.
•  Participate in the weekly regional sales call with the National Sales Manager and winery leadership every Monday.
•  Understand and adhere to regulatory requirements, pricing laws, and compliance standards in each market within the region.
Qualifications:

•  Honesty, positivity.
•  Experience working for a distributor and/or direct experience working for a supplier.
•  Wine knowledge, particularly in Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, and Oregon wines.
•  Strong verbal and written communication skills, including effective presentation abilities.
•  Self-motivated with the ability to independently manage time, priorities, and resources to achieve King Estate’s goals.
•  Focused, goal-oriented, and able to demonstrate integrity and professionalism in all business relationships.
•  Familiarity with reporting software, such as VIP.
•  Strong computer proficiency, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and effective internet/intranet navigation.
•  Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
•  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
•  Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
•  Home office must be based in the Northeastern United States.
