Our Production department is currently seeking a Sanitation Foreperson to join our team on the night shift. The normal schedule for this position is 3:30p.m. – 12:00a.m., and possibly 5:30p.m. – 2: 00a.m. when running the second shift. This hands-on leadership position oversees all sanitation and sterilization activities across our bottling, brandy, disgorging, and environmental areas. The Sanitation Foreperson ensures that all cleaning processes meet strict food safety, quality, and regulatory standards while leading and supporting a dedicated sanitation crew.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•  Perform and supervise sanitation cleaning for all equipment and production work areas.
•  Execute and verify tasks on the 52-week Master Sanitation Schedule and maintain compliance records.
•  Use correct sanitation chemistry including titration and concentration check to verify proper dosing.
•  Comply with the Code of Safe Practice, GMPs, chemical SDS requirements, and PPE enforcement.
•  Lead pre-work communication, assign tasks, and ensure sanitation crew readiness each night.
•  Ensure lockout/tagout rules are followed during sanitation and equipment teardown tasks.
•  Monitor production schedules and adjust sanitation timing and line changeovers as needed to meet operational needs.
•  Train sanitation employees in sanitation science, safe practices, and sanitation verification standards.
•  Report equipment or safety concerns immediately; create Maintenance work orders when required.
•  Support environmental monitoring such as ATP tests or swab verification when trained/assigned.
•  Ensure sanitation logs and documentation are completed clearly, accurately, and on time.
•  Recommend updates to sanitation SOPs to improve food safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma, with a four-year degree in a preferred science, food, or technical field. A minimum of five years of sanitation leadership experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment is required. Candidates should demonstrate strong technical knowledge of sanitation chemistry, food safety hazards, and SDS compliance, along with solid mechanical aptitude and the ability to work safely around production equipment. Effective leadership and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to train, motivate, and hold employees accountable to sanitation standards. The position requires someone who can work independently, manage changing priorities, and maintain detailed records. Forklift certification (or the ability to obtain certification) is required. English fluency is necessary, and Spanish language skills are a plus. This position also requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in wet environments, and perform repetitive motion tasks during sanitation activities. The pay rate for this position is $32.80/ hour.
