Located on the eastern edge of the Russian River Valley, Merriam Vineyards is a family-owned, organically farmed estate known for elegant, Old World–inspired wines and genuine hospitality. We are seeking a dynamic Tasting Room Manager to lead our hospitality team and help drive direct-to-consumer sales with warm hospitality.

Position Overview
We’re seeking a dynamic and passionate Lead Wine Ambassador to join our hospitality team. This key position leads by example — providing warm, engaging, and educational tasting experiences, mentoring the ambassador team, and supporting the tasting room’s daily operations.

Key Responsibilities
• Host exceptional wine tastings and estate experiences that convey Merriam Vineyards’ story and philosophy.
• Lead by example on the tasting room floor, ensuring outstanding service and guest satisfaction.
• Drive direct-to-consumer sales and wine club sign-ups through authentic relationship building.
• Support daily operations including opening/closing duties, cash handling, and inventory management.
• Assist in training, coaching, and supporting fellow ambassadors.
• Participate in special events, wine club functions, and offsite pourings.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting guest environment.
• Serve as a brand representative both onsite and within the community.

Qualifications
• 2+ years of winery or premium hospitality experience
• Strong wine knowledge; WSET or similar certification a plus.
• Proven success in direct-to-consumer sales and wine club growth.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Professional and team-oriented demeanor.
• Tock and Commerce7 experience a plus
• Must be at least 21 years old and able to lift 40 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Weekends required
• Availability on holidays and for special events is required.
