Jeff Runquist Wines is an established award winning winery in the heart of Shenandoah Valley in Plymouth, CA. We produce both estate wine and wine made from grapes sourced from 8 appellations in California.
Jeff Runquist Wines is looking for an experienced, hands on, dedicated team player with outstanding management skills to supervise and lead the day to day operations of the tasting room including management of day-to-day operations, personnel, budgeting and the development of policies, procedures, staff training and manuals. The ideal candidate must be sales oriented, wine knowledgeable, computer literate, have a passion for customer service, the ability to solve problems, a strong ability to sell and the ability to set and surpass goals. Must be organized, have a positive attitude and can multi task while retaining leadership and composure in a busy environment.
Position Description:
Daily setup and cleanup of the tasting room, restocking, monitoring of inventory levels on wine and merchandise.
Keeping tasting bar, retail, restrooms, and stock areas clean, attractive and organized.
Keeping media material current and stocked.
Develop, maintain and follow standard operating procedures and practices for the tasting room.
Ability to analyze and report sales information in an accurate and timely manner to management.
Staff management including, hiring, scheduling, training, disciplinary actions, etc.
Follows, trains and implements all policies and procedures for the department including safe beverage service adhering to local, state and federal standards.
Cultivate partnerships with local hotels, restaurants, and other hospitality vendors to increase traffic.
Assist in planning, promoting, and executing hospitality events such as private tastings, club event, AVA events and group visits.
Create and execute Annual Budget, event calendar, marketing calendar and club events.
Greet and interact with guests at all Wine Club Events.

Computer knowledge required (email, Word, Excel, website e-commerce, POS).

Experience managing a wine club a plus.
Must maintain a professional appearance, be a team player and maintain a positive disposition.
Must work weekends, events and some holidays.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
