QB Winery Solutions is an accounting firm that works exclusively with small wineries as a Consulting CFO. We are interviewing on behalf of one of our clients, a premier wine brand in Napa.
This position provides bookkeeping and administrative support to the General Manager. The business runs a tasting room and a vineyard, so this environment is very dynamic. Initially, this position will be responsible for entering and reviewing financial data promptly so that the financial records are accurate throughout the year. This position will act as a bridge between all locations and managers.
The ideal candidate has room for growth and is eager to learn and take on more responsibility.
Wine industry experience preferred, but not required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Note that this is not intended to restrict the tasks that may be assigned.
• Manage accounts payable through Bill.com
• Manage sales and accounts receivable
• Enter credit card charges and reconcile credit card statements
• Reconcile bank accounts
• Enter month-end journal entries
• File and pay California Sales Tax and CRV returns
• File and pay Out of State returns through ShipCompliant
• Research and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Compile and prepare routine reports and summaries
• Review the QB file and ensure that transactions are coded and tagged appropriately
• File documents
• Follow up with other departments and managers
• Other projects and tasks as assigned or needed
• Regular attendance and schedule adherence
Required Education and/or Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 years using QuickBooks Desktop
Proficient knowledge of:
• Bill.com
• ShipCompliant
• Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, filters)
• Microsoft Word
• G Suite
• Spanish Bilingual
