Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Cellar Master to join our team in the wine industry. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the cellar operations, ensuring that all processes related to winemaking, packaging, and sanitation are executed efficiently and in compliance with food safety standards. This position requires a strong understanding of wine production and mechanical knowledge to maintain equipment and ensure optimal winemaking conditions.
This position is a hybrid position with winemaking and Tasting Room liaison. Tuesday through Thursday will be cellar activities and Friday and Saturday will be serving in the Tasting Room ensuring accuracy in our sales process, stocks in the Tasting Room are correct, and fulfilling all of the normal duties in the Tasting Room.

We are also beginning the process of adding a Brewery to our product offerings. Experience in brewing beer is a plus!
Responsibilities
Oversee the fermentation process, including monitoring yeast health and fermentation progress.
Manage the transfer of wine between vessels while ensuring proper sanitation protocols are followed.
Fabricate and maintain equipment to ensure it operates at peak efficiency.
Implement CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) throughout the winemaking process.
Collaborate with the cellar team to develop new blends and improve existing ones.
Ensure all products are packaged correctly and adhere to quality standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization within the cellar and warehouse areas.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment for mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
Train and supervise cellar staff on best practices in winemaking, sanitation, and safety.
Maintains inventory reports and enforces inventory controls.
Experience
Previous experience in the food industry, particularly within winemaking production, is highly desirable.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices is essential.
Mechanical knowledge is a plus, with hands-on experience in maintaining or repairing equipment preferred.
Proven ability to work effectively in a warehouse environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
