Position Overview
The Director of Consumer Sales and Hospitality is a key leadership position responsible for all aspects of Miner Family Winery’s direct-to-consumer (DTC) sales and guest experiences. DTC channels include the tasting room, wine club, customer service and inbound/outbound sales. This role also oversees the design and delivery of all hospitality programs, including consumer and trade tastings and on-site or off-site events.
Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, the Director collaborates closely with departmental leaders to drive revenue growth, strengthen customer relationships, and ensure strategic alignment across the organization. Key Responsibilities
•  Develop and execute ambitious monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for all DTC channels, and report progress regularly.
•  Lead, coach and develop two direct reports (Tasting Room Manager & Wine Club and Customer Service Manager) while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
•  Oversee all hiring, promotions, and separations within the DTC department in collaboration with the Assistant General Manager.
•  Manage DTC channel P&Ls through data-driven financial analysis, driving profitability and efficiency.
•  Lead the strategic development and execution of omni-channel sales and marketing plans to drive revenue growth.
•  Lead the hospitality team to expand and enhance guest experiences both on- and off-property, ensuring delivery of distinctive, high-touch programs that deepen loyalty and attract new clientele.
•  Continuously evaluate and refine wine club offerings, outbound sales initiatives, consumer events, and business development programs to increase sales, membership growth and retention.
•  Collaborate with marketing to develop and execute eCommerce programs, including email campaigns, website content and social media engagement that align with DTC KPIs.
•  Oversee inventory management and order fulfillment in coordination with the Director of Shipping and Logistics.
•  Analyze sales performance data and industry benchmarks to identify opportunities and implement best practices.
•  Partner with the Tasting Room Manager to maintain strong relationships with local hotels, tour operators and industry partners to drive qualified visitation.
•  Curate and manage retail merchandise and tasting experiences aligned with brand standards.
•  Implement regular employee training in sales, hospitality, product knowledge and safety.
•  Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and relevant local, state, and federal regulations governing alcohol service, employment, and DTC operations.
•  Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
•  Minimum 5 years of direct sales, hospitality, eCommerce, and wine club management experience, including oversight of two or more managers.
•  Proven ability to inspire and lead teams through strong leadership, communication, and emotional intelligence.
•  Demonstrated success identifying market opportunities, developing sales strategies, and executing plans that achieve measurable results.
•  Experience in a premium or luxury wine or hospitality environment preferred.
•  Strong knowledge of fine wines, food pairings and hospitality service standards.
•  Excellent written and verbal communication skills; highly organized and detail-oriented.
•  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
•  Proficiency in eCellar, RedChirp and Microsoft Office Suite (or willingness/ability to learn quickly).
•  Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Compensation and Benefits
•  Salary: $100,000–$110,000 annually DOE, plus potential performance-based compensation
