Purple Brands is an entrepreneurial, medium-sized wine and spirits company dedicated to crafting exceptional brands rooted in authenticity, innovation, and storytelling. Our growing portfolio includes award-winning wines and spirits such as Redwood Empire Whiskey and Raeburn Wines.
We’re seeking a digitally savvy, highly creative Brand Manager to support our growing portfolio, with primary focus on Redwood Empire Whiskey (80%) and Raeburn Wines (20%). The role requires someone who is both a strategic thinker and a creative doer. This person should be able to craft digital strategies, brief and guide agencies, and also roll up their sleeves to execute. That includes creating on-brand content, writing copy, and managing campaigns.

Role Overview
This role will be a key partner in driving Redwood’s and Raeburn’s digital presence, with an emphasis on social, web, CRM, paid media, and digital storytelling. In addition, the Brand Manager will provide brand management support to Redwood Empire Whiskey, working closely with the Senior Brand Manager on initiatives such as product launches, event amplifications and creative asset development. The ideal candidate blends digital marketing expertise and a passion for content with brand management fundamentals. We are entrepreneurial and we move fast. Key Responsibilities

Digital Strategy, Development & Execution
•  Collaborate with the Sr. Brand Manager to develop strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and sales of Redwood Empire Whiskey across social, web, CRM, search, and paid media. Support Raeburn with a lean calendar of posts and community management.
•  Own execution of these strategies and manage external digital agency partner(s) to deliver.
•  Manage assets, asset library, content calendars, influencer partnerships, and digital storytelling campaigns.
•  Oversee digital campaigns from concept to reporting, ensuring alignment with brand goals, regulatory compliance, and ROI targets.
•  Support paid media campaigns, SEO/SEM, and CRM programs to drive awareness, engagement, and conversion.
•  Provide insights and recommendations on digital channel mix, content formats, and emerging opportunities.
•  Track, analyze, and report on KPIs to inform optimization and future planning.
•  Manage digital marketing budgets for content creation and for efficient allocation across digital channels.
•  Work with Legal and Compliance team to assure that content, programming and sweeps compliant BevAlc regulations.

Content & Community
•  Create basic digital content that is highly creative, visually engaging, and on-brand (posts, graphics, short videos).
•  Write and edit compelling copy across newsletters, email, social, and web that reflects each brand’s unique voice.
•  Community outreach to drive traffic to our new distillery home, amplification of our events, etc
•  Own and manage Redwood Empire’s newsletter program end-to-end.
•  Oversee social media calendar, content creation, and influencer/creator partnerships.
•  Manage community engagement across digital platforms, ensuring brand voice consistency and customer service excellence.
•  Collaborate with external agencies and partners to produce compelling multimedia assets.

Creative Stewardship
•  Help to generate big creative ideas and digital campaign concepts that can be briefed into creative teams or agencies.
•  Write inspiring creative briefs and evaluate creative work with a sharp eye for brand tone, voice, and visual identity.
•  Act as guardian of the brand’s look, feel, and tone across all digital platforms.
•  Provide constructive, brand-aligned feedback to creative partners.
•  Ensure creative execution balances short-term performance with long-term brand building.

E-commerce & CRM
•  Optimize Redwood Empire’s website, DTC channels, and email marketing programs to grow traffic, conversion, and repeat purchases.
•  Explore opportunities to build CRM segmentation and automated campaigns to increase loyalty and lifetime value.

Brand Management Support
•  Support overall Redwood Empire Whiskey brand marketing efforts, including cross-functional initiatives.
•  Assist the Sr. Brand Manager with brand plans, campaign execution, and integrated marketing programs.
•  Monitor competitive activity and consumer insights to guide strategy.

Qualifications
•  3–5 years of brand management and/or digital marketing experience, ideally in beverage/alcohol or consumer lifestyle brands.
•  Knowledge of SEO/SEM, CRM, paid media, and e-commerce best practices, with both hands-on experience using these tools and the ability to critically evaluate their performance and effectiveness.
•  Experience briefing, judging, and collaborating with agencies and creative partners.
•  Proven ability to generate ideas, create content, and manage campaigns across digital channels.
•  Strong copywriting skills and a love for crafting content in a brand’s unique voice.
•  Strong project management skills with ability to juggle strategy, execution, and reporting.
•  Creative, resourceful, and collaborative team player.
