Austeria Wine Boutique is a locally owned wine bar and retail shop committed to creating a warm, welcoming space for wine enthusiasts and casual sippers alike. We offer carefully curated wines, small bites, and a customer experience that blends education, hospitality, and community.

We are looking for a hands-on owner/operator to oversee day-to-day operations, lead our team, and deliver an exceptional guest experience. This is a working manager role — you will be directly engaged in both service and management.


Key Responsibilities Include:

Operations & Service;

Lead daily operations of the wine bar and retail shop during open hours

Provide attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly service to guests

Ensure smooth shift transitions, open/close procedures, and cash handling

Team Leadership;

Supervise, train, and schedule staff to maintain a high level of service

Support staff during busy shifts, stepping in wherever needed (bartending, serving, floor support)

Foster a positive team culture focused on hospitality and accountability

Customer Experience;

Engage with guests to build relationships and encourage repeat business

Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting bar and retail environment

Ensure consistency of service standards and customer satisfaction

Inventory & Retail Support;

Oversee inventory levels and assist with stocking and retail presentation

Monitor shrinkage and waste, and help maintain cost efficiency

Assist in coordinating special events, tastings, and promotions as needed

Collaboration with Owners;

Work closely with ownership, who will continue to handle wine procurement, marketing, finances, and regulatory compliance

Provide feedback on staff, operations, and guest experience to help guide growth


Qualifications

Previous hospitality or bar management experience preferred (wine knowledge a plus)

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

Ability to work evenings and weekends (Tuesday–Saturday schedule)

Hands-on, team-oriented approach — comfortable managing and working alongside staff

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Passion for wine, hospitality, and creating memorable guest experiences
