Located in the center of the famed Ribbon Ridge AVA, Trisaetum is a family-owned and operated winery that vinifies hand-picked fruit from each one of our three estate vineyards in Oregon's Willamette Valley. Small, hands-on fermentations produce highly-praised Pinot Noir, Riesling, and Chardonnay; Cabernet Sauvignon from Walla Walla’s Seven Hills Vineyard; and some sparkling wines too. We are looking to add one full-time National Sales Manager to maintain and expand our presence across the United States.
In this role, you will both manage current and develop new account relationships at the regional and state levels, travel to key markets to promote our brand portfolio, and spearhead our national sales strategy each year.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain key national accounts at both regional and state levels, including market visits to strengthen relationships and introduce wine to new customers
- Add and develop new national accounts as needed, including outreach to prospective contacts, delivery of sales presentations / proposals, and negotiation of contract terms and pricing
- Prepare our national sales strategy and forecast each year, including key markets and revenue targets
- Drive strong margin performance across markets with deliberate pricing strategies and thoughtful management of Trisaetum’s wine portfolio
- Provide regular reporting on sales activities, client concerns, and market insights to management
- Assist in preparation of sales materials, including presentations, proposals, and contracts
- Facilitate orders from national accounts, including billing, inventory, and logistics management
- Effectively present our brands and portfolio at trade events, including distributor / customer tastings, client dinners, and demonstrations alongside distributor partners
Requirements include, but are not limited to:
- At least 3 years of experience in a sales role
- Passionate about fine wine with high knowledge level and/or experience in the wine industry
- Strong knowledge of the wine industry’s three-tier system
- Willingness and ability to travel across country for periodic market visits; up to 40% of total time each year
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Able to effectively and dynamically present everything from wine products via tastings to formal business proposals
- Strong attention to detail
- Outgoing, self-motivated and friendly with a positive and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to work independently and deliver on goals with minimal supervision
Preferred, but not required experience:
- Wine sales experience strongly preferred; includes both account-level sales and tasting room or other similar experience
- Network within wine industry strongly preferred, including distributors and other relevant accounts
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
Job Structure:
- Hybrid position; at least 3 days in office a week unless traveling
- May rarely be required to work a weekend day for winery or sales events
Compensation:
- Salary plus commission (paid monthly) based on experience
- Receive 2 allocated cases of Trisaetum wine each year
