POSITION SUMMARY: The Hospitality Associate is responsible for providing professional, guest-focused service at Clif Family Winery. This temporary, seasonal role supports daily hospitality operations by delivering guided wine and food experiences, building meaningful guest connections, and actively driving sales through Wine Club, subscription memberships, and on-site purchases. The Hospitality Associate plays a key role in sharing our brand story and turning visitors into long-term Clif Family customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Greet and host guests, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment.
• Conduct wine tastings and food pairings, accurately presenting product information.
• Communicate the Clif Family mission, sustainability practices, and product details.
• Proactively promote and sell wines, Wine Club memberships, subscriptions, and gourmet food products to guests.
• Promote and process Wine Club and subscription memberships.
• Consistently meet or exceed sales, guest engagement, and membership conversion goals. Maintain current knowledge of wines, food products, and company standards.
• Record guest interactions and preferences using CRM and POS systems.
• Provide concierge support including scheduling and guest inquiries.
• Assist with events, daily setup, and closing procedures.
• Maintain tasting areas and retail spaces to brand standards.
• Follows all company policies, including Food Safety and Responsible Beverage Service.
• Participate in ongoing sales, product, and hospitality training to grow expertise and performance.
SKILLS REQUIRED
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ hospitality experience (winery, luxury retail, or events).
• Strong customer service and sales skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office, and POS systems (TOCK and Shopify a plus).
• Knowledge of Napa Valley hospitality industry preferred
• Ability to taste and evaluate wines, stand for extended periods, and lift 40–50 lbs.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Enthusiastic, collaborative, and detail oriented.
• Barista experience a plus.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting 40-50 lbs.
• Valid CADL and clean driving record
