Temporary - Customer Service Support Associate

Job Description:

The Customer Service Support Associate will provide temporary, part-time support (20–30 hours/week) across multiple areas of our business during a busy season within the Membership & Marketing, as well as Wholesale divisions of Clif Family. This role is flexible and touches many parts of our business—from wholesale and gifting to customer service and social media. This is an on-site position based at our office in St. Helena to support daily operations and customer needs. This role will require work weekends, holidays and as required for special events or on-site activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Wholesale
•  Process daily wholesale food and wine orders.
•  Update our website plug-in with new wholesale accounts.
•  Occasionally support wholesale market pourings and tastings.
Gifting & Virtual Tastings
•  Support the logistics for virtual tastings and kit processing (scheduling hosts, tracking client addresses, preparing order details, sending confirmations).
•  Assist with corporate and enterprise gifting, including white-glove service for larger clients.
•  Coordinate with the Ops team during the busy holiday season (Nov–Dec) to track orders, spreadsheets, and shipping needs.
•  Handle custom gifting requests (engraving bottles, belly bands, etc.).
Customer Service
•  Help cover Clif Cares (customer emails, voicemails, live chats, and reservations).
•  Support wine club and subscription shipments through the fall season.
•  Assist with donation platform inquiries and order fulfillment.
Social Media
•  Provide back-up posting on social media management tools and respond to customer messages/comments on Facebook and Instagram.
•  Keep Google My Business listings updated (Winery, Enoteca, Food Truck).
•  Support our Wine Club Facebook Group with posts and replies.

General
•  Pitch in where needed to support the team, which may include internal event coordination, shipping support, or representing Clif Family at tastings or demos, and other duties as assigned.
•  Assist in maintaining and updating the CRM system to track customer interactions, leads, and sales opportunities.






ROLE REQUIREMENTS
•  A customer-first mindset and strong communication skills.
•  Ability to juggle multiple tasks while staying detail oriented.
•  Comfort with email, scheduling tools, and learning new systems.
•  Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.
•  Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or logistics is a plus.
•  Familiarity with Shopify, QuickBooks Enterprise, and Avalara software is a plus.
•  Knowledge of wine and specialty food products is a plus.
•  Available to work weekends, holidays, and as required for special events and activities.
•  A valid California Driver’s License (CADL) and a clean driving record are required for this position.
•  Ability to lift 40-50 lbs.
