Responsibilities:
• Manage lab work
• Manage lab-related software programs
• Update, create, and maintain various Excel spreadsheets on a daily basis
• Maintain monthly reporting, bond records, and inventory
• Maintain custom crush client bottling list and custom crush client harvest projection list
• Assist with coordination of contracted clients for custom crush and winemaking
• Assist on crush pad and cellar work where/when needed
• Order all fermentation materials, supplies, equipment, etc.
• Complete weight tags for each lot/variety, maintain records
• Complete all written and verbal assignments as directed
• Collaborate with the Winemakers and General Manager to create and execute a Bottling Schedule and any other organizational tools, and coordinate material orders for the winery
• Any other duties assigned
• Flexibility and willingness to work in other environments other than the office for events, the tasting room, or other tasks that may need assistance with when an extra hand is needed. These tasks may occasionally fall on weekend days when most staff at the business are expected to work
• Perform other duties as required including assisting other departments as needed
• Understand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
Required Skills:
• Able to work safely in busy production environment and around equipment and chemicals
• Good communication skills, able to communicate with supervisors and co-workers (bilingual Spanish and English a plus)
• Good attention to detail and quality
Physical/Mental Requirements:
• Able to work long periods while walking and standing
• Able to climb stairs and ladders multiple times / day
• Must be able to walk across wet concrete, step over hoses; intermittent work outside in varying weather conditions
• Able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly
• Must be able to work extended hours (10 hour shifts 6 days per week) in hot and cold conditions, when needed
Schedule Requirements:
• Flexible schedule, ability to work long hours, various shifts and weekends
• During harvest, at times, we operate two shifts, which include late and overnights, partial shifts and weekends
