HANNA is a family-owned winery with tasting rooms in Alexander Valley and the Russian River Valley. We’re seeking a full-time Hospitality Associate who is energetic, and sales focused, with strong customer service skills and a passion for wine.
We strive to educate consumers on HANNA’s unique vineyard practices, artisan winemaking style, and diverse wine selections. HANNA offers wines from our well known and widely distributed Sauvignon Blanc, to small-lot and limited production estate and single vineyard wines only sold on-site, including the scarce St. Macaire. A wine list of approximately 20+ wines with some wine club exclusives offers unique selections for guests and members.
Job Description
DTC:
• Provides Customer Service Support for all DTC transactions, including Club members.
• Provides exceptional hospitality to all guests onsite and is a tasting room leader.
• Assists the DTC Manager to promote, plan and execute large group visits, trade tastings, and on-site special events.
• Monitors tasting room merchandise and assists in placing re-orders for all food and hospitality supplies.
• Proficient in opening and closing procedures at both locations.
• Assists with training/development of staff on admin procedures, including operating cash register, credit card machine, and processing shipping orders.
• Prepares food items including cheese, charcuterie, hand pies, and chocolate for various experiences.
• Maintains adequate inventory of wine at both tasting rooms by submitting weekly wine orders to the winemaking team for the Russian River Valley tasting room and filling out wine order forms for the Alexander Valley tasting room.
• Assists in monitoring the wine inbox in Outlook. Responds to emails in a timely fashion and forwards them to appropriate departments as necessary.
• Maintains TOCK reservation platform: update experiences for both tasting rooms, complete reservation bookings, and assist with seasonal updates.
• Daily check of Ship Compliant, packing orders, and creating shipping labels. Hanna Winery fulfills all shipping orders in-house. Increased packing workload during club processing.
• Assists in wine club operations and shipments – set up club forms, help pack up orders, create batches in Ship Compliant, create shipping labels, track shipping orders, and assist members with processing club allocations.
• Creates updated Will-Call lists for both tasting rooms once a month. Assists in contacting members for pick-up orders.
• Assists in contacting special request members prior to club processing and reaching out to members with outdated information.
• Helps maintain cleanliness of all hospitality areas, including outside picnic grounds
Marketing:
• Assists in updating all tasting menus on a monthly basis. Collaborate with DTC Manager on featured wines based upon inventory.
• Collaborates with DTC Manager to create Flash Sales, storefront coupons and marketing signs for each tasting room.
• Assist DTC manager in sending out mass eblast promotions and communicating current offers to the team and our guests.
• Creates Red Chirp text campaigns with approval from DTC manager. Assists with daily Red Chirp communications with customers.
Events:
• Helps provide support for Event clients, and/or staff appropriately.
• Supports the hospitality team during event functions by promoting goals to the team, ensuring team members take breaks/lunch. Helps monitor the overall flow on event days.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Able to lift 45lbs, bend, twist, and stand for long periods of time.
• Minimum of one or more years of experience in the same or similar position in the wine industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook Mailbox. If you’re familiar with Wine Direct, Bottle 360, Ship Compliant, TOCK or Canva, that is a plus.
• Able to obtain (within 60 days of hire) and maintain a Responsible Beverage Server and Safe Food Handler certification.
• Must be able to work independently in the tasting room as needed.

Full time, non-exempt position
Reports to Direct to Consumer Manager
Schedule: Thursday - Monday
Starting wage: Earning potential including commissions and gratuities of $23-30/hr with a base of $22 – $26/hr depending on experience.
