Job Description:

We are seeking a positive, can-do individual to join our team full-time. Our property is located on the Silverado Trail in Rutherford. If you have a love of representing luxury Napa wines, wearing many hats, and serving a discerning clientele, we invite you to apply.

The Estate Host is responsible for promoting our wines to the visiting public and will assist the tasting and sale of wine and non-wine products at the winery to maximize sales and achieve annual goals.

HOSPITALITY – 70%

- Greeting visitors as they arrive on property.
- Setting up and breaking down each tasting. Cleaning and buffing all stemware.
- Packing to-go orders from the winery.
- Providing relevant information on wines, techniques, history and responding to visitors’ questions.
- Effectively selling our wines through engagement and development of relationships with our customers.
- Conducting each sale from bottle to delivery. This means overseeing the entire sale through to customer receipt, including any issues that may arise.
- Acting as an ambassador to Napa, by referring other wineries and local restaurants to our guests.
- Assisting in the opening/closing procedures for daily tasting room sales
- Maintaining a friendly, warm and clean tasting room environment (inside room and outdoor areas) and assisting with the sanitation procedures
- Hosting Virtual Tastings
- Outreach – establishing and maintaining relationships with concierges, drivers and winery representatives to drive qualified traffic to the business. Attending outreach events after hours that may benefit the business.
- Ensuring that all order forms are up-to-date and accurate.
- Cleaning, organizing, and re-stocking tasting room.
- Other duties as necessary

ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT & EVENTS – 30%

- Capturing sales by phone and email.
- Working as a member of the DTC team on regular promotions and on-site/off-site events to achieve annual sales goals.
- Closing out all data input and orders within 24 hours of receipt.
- Assisting in the scheduling of the daily visitor calendar
- Packing shipments from winery and printing shipping labels as needed.
- Other duties as necessary.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

- 3-5 years’ experience in a proven sales/hospitality/events environment, preferable within luxury goods world. Proven experience and ability to work within teams.
- Genuine passion for building relationships with people, while also able to support business needs.
- Ability to work harmoniously and effectively in a small team and family environment with a willingness to help where help is needed.
- Intuitive and a willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of winery ecommerce software like Commerce 7.
- Tremendous accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of the job, with an overall commitment to excellence.

Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds.
