Artist Block seeks a fun, energetic person (who loves to win!) to represent our rising star creative brand. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic and true desire to provide exceptional hospitality to our guests- leaving them wow-ed. We're looking for proven hospitality and sales experience, wine knowledge, and a slight obsession with low key luxury.

Front Facing Essential Duties:

- Hosting tasting appointments, greeting visitors and walk-ins as they enter the property, and set expectations based on their reservation and their history with Artist Block
- Provide relevant information on wines, techniques, and history and develop relationships with guests, getting to know them, their preferences, and their story
- Contribute daily to customer notes and preferences using relevant tags and note-taking in the POS
- Effectively sell wines and other merchandise through the development of relationships with our customers
- Promote the wine clubs with enthusiasm and genuine interest to all visiting guests to meet monthly club goals
- Provide exceptional service by providing unreasonable hospitality to our guests. This includes going out of your way to make their visit special and memorable, with a budget monthly to do so
- Maintain a friendly, warm, and clean tasting room environment (inside and outdoor areas) daily, per our opening and closing duties

Behind The Scenes:

- Be punctual, efficient, and appropriately dressed
- Ensure that all orders and customer requests are accurately input into POS and input all data required for orders at the end of each shift
- Maintain accountability for assigned tasks by completing and following up on individual assignments in a timely manner
- Communicate customer service issues as well as victories to Management during weekly meetings
- Manage the daily tasting schedule and visitor calendar
- Answer phones and take reservations
- Washing and polishing glasses as well as prepping charcuterie boards
- Clean, organize, and re-stock tasting room notifying management of any supplies that are running low or needed
- Work as a member of the Sales & Marketing team on events and in managing our monthly and annual sales goals
- Assisting with shipping and fulfillment as needed as well as inventory tasks
- Setting up for events, moving furniture, flexible schedules to accommodate additional hours needed for events
- Other duties as necessary. We are a small and growing team

Skills and Abilities:

- First and foremost, this is a sales position, experience driving sales by overcoming objections, utilizing sales techniques and tools to drive sales is of the utmost importance
Winery tasting room experience or restaurant experience a plus
- Experience with POS and reservation systems and experience of updating guest accounts a plus
- Must be a team player and be dedicated to team growth
- Must be highly motivated, independent, and able to take direction from all members of the team
- Outstanding customer service skills with a solution-based attitude following our high standards
- Ability to graciously say no in the context of very limited, highly sought-after wine supply, limited reservation capacity, and limited on-site storage space
- Basic knowledge of wines and wine production
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Must be able to work weekends and some evenings as needed
- Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must hold a valid OLCC server permit
- Professional appearance and attitude are an absolute must – you are the face of Artist Block

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour DOE
