Job Description:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing a broad range of marketing, communications, and administrative functions for the winery. This role requires a highly organized, multi-talented individual with a blend of creativity, analytical skills, and technical know-how. The ideal candidate will be experienced in winery marketing, direct-to-consumer platforms, wine club operations, and e-commerce tools. This role is perfect for a dynamic and resourceful marketer who thrives in a small, hands-on team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing, Public Relations (PR) & Communications
*Manage all wine rating submissions.
*Coordinate wine label press checks.
*Oversee website updates and content management (WordPress).
*Manage and update online business profiles (Google, Yelp), including responding to reviews.
*Plan and coordinate photoshoots to ensure high-quality brand visuals.
*Create and distribute monthly e-commerce newsletters and quarterly trade/consumer updates.
*Manage advertising initiatives and campaigns.
*Maintain and update brand collateral, including tech sheets, wine cards, and brochures.
*Represent the winery through involvement with Napa Valley Vintners and other trade organizations.

Social Media & Content
*Create, curate, and publish content across platforms (photography, copywriting, scheduling).
*Monitor social media trends and adjust strategy to drive engagement.
*Engage with followers and respond to inquiries promptly.

Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) & Tasting Room Support
*Update and manage product listings, inventory, and photography in Commerce7.
*Create and distribute wine club newsletters.
*Support tasting room promotions and DTC campaigns as needed.

Wine Club Management
*Forecast and plan quarterly wine club assortments.
*Manage member accounts, including new sign-ups, cancellations, and account updates.
*Process quarterly billing and shipments.
*Maintain wine club data and oversee commission tracking.

Operational Support
*Generate and manage UPCs for new labels.
*Maintain organized company files in Google Drive (e.g., COLAs, fact book, bottle photography, labels, logos, submissions, shelf talkers, compliance records).
*Maintain vendor contact lists.
*Add or remove admin users in Commerce7.

Human Resources Coordination
*Assist with job postings, interviews, offer letters, and onboarding.
*Set up new hire emails and manage initial paperwork.

Wholesale & Trade
*Assist with trade tastings and related support activities.

Qualifications & Skills
Required:
*Minimum 7 years of marketing experience at a California winery with direct responsibility for DTC operations.
*Proficiency with e-commerce platforms (Commerce7, WineDirect), CMS (WordPress), and reservation systems.
*Solid understanding of wine club operations and compliance fundamentals.
*Strong written and verbal communication skills.
*Proficiency with design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar).
*Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
*High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
*Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
