Job Description:

Easley Winery, a 51 year old, third generation, family winery is seeking an experienced district sales manager to join our three person sales team. We produce 30 plus wine SKUs a year, have 5 wine brands and also make wine cocktails, control label wines and sparkling wines. We focus on sweet, fruity wines under $10 a bottle.

Your sales territory would primarily be the State of Indiana 85% of your time with 15% of your time sharing sales duties with other team members in Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Wisconsin, Tennessee and Florida. Your primary focus would be small chain and independent off premise accounts with a few sales calls to on premise restaurant accounts. There are occational night and weekend responsibilitys that need to be covered in the wine world. When these are required, we flex out time to keep the work week to a 40 hour commitment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Have a strong in market presence 4 1/2 to 5 days a week to engage directly with accounts, the market and distributor partner sales team members
- Establish, manage, and cultivate buyer, manager and decision maker relationships at all accounts throughout your territory
-Cultivate relationships with distributor sales teams in your territory
-Recognize sales opportunities, challenges and corresponding solutions. Look for opportunities in the market.
-Work closely with our National Accounts Director to execute and mange store planograms, store POS material placement and holiday programs
- Do occasional ride withs / work withs with various distributor sales teams with a focus on Easley brand education and shelf standards
- Do occasional in-store wine tastings
-Work an occasional wine event / festival with our event team and distributor partners
-Attend occasional distributor sales meetings
-1 to 2 overnights per month of travel should be expected
-Communicate and collaborate with other team sales members and Winery management through daily reporting of market conditions and product opportunities

QUALIFICATIONS:
-Must be 21 years of age or older
-Must possess a valid Indiana drivers license and be insurable by the Company auto insurance provider. Must have a clean driving record.
-Must have or can get a wine salesperson license in Indiana and the other States we sell wine in.
- Must pass a background check and be eligible to work in the United States
- We are looking for a sales professional with at least 3 to 5 years experience in sales and familiarity of the three tier alcohol system, but we will train you on wine, our wine brands and mid-west regional / local wines in general.
-ability to lift a 40 pound case of wine
