Position: Wine Trade Development Associate
Location: Napa CA
Reports to: Senior Sales Manager
Compensation: $25 /hour + performance-based bonus
**Candidates who bring established sommelier, restaurant, or retail trade contacts may be considered for a higher starting rate.

Role Overview:
We’re looking for a Trade Development Associate to support our Trade Account Manager in growing Benchmark’s footprint with restaurants and retailers nationwide. This role will focus on opening new accounts, securing meetings, and helping onboard new partners with the high-touch experience our clients expect.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and research new restaurant and retail opportunities in key markets
• Cold call to gather sommelier and buyer contact info (email, phone, etc.)
• Schedule meetings and tastings for the Trade Account Manager
• Assist with follow-up and onboarding for new accounts
• Maintain accurate records of outreach and activity in our CRM
• Help facilitate repeat orders and drive engagement with new clients
• Represent Benchmark at trade events, hotel tastings, and industry functions by pouring and promoting our wines
• Support brand visibility through on-site presence at hospitality activations and strategic partnerships
Performance Bonus:
Earn bonuses for each new restaurant or retailer account.
Who You Are:
• Confident on the phone and comfortable with cold outreach
• Organized, persistent, and resourceful
• Passionate about wine or interested in learning more
• Comfortable pouring and speaking about wine in front of groups
• Familiar with hospitality or restaurant industry (a plus)
• Able to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment
