Clubhouse Assistant General Manager

Role and Responsibilities
Performance
• Oversee all aspects of floor operations including guest service, inventory control, cash handling, profitability, and operating costs.
• Drive performance by meeting or exceeding revenue targets through repeatable sales initiatives that increase per-guest spend, wine club acquisitions, and channel profitability.
• Ensure accuracy and efficiency across operational systems, including Wine Pickup, POS (WineDirect), and booking platforms (Tock), to support seamless guest and team experiences.
• Maintain and improve reporting tools to support accurate month-end reconciliation, payroll tracking, and performance analysis.
• Manage scheduling systems, tip reporting, and payroll strategies to control labor costs and avoid overtime.
• Partner with the GM on monthly performance reviews, providing insights on financial targets, staffing, and operational improvements.
People
• Partner with the Clubhouse General Manager to hire, onboard, and develop a high-performing hospitality team.
• Provide consistent communication, set clear performance expectations, and conduct regular coaching and reviews to support individual growth.
• Lead a culture of excellence by fostering team engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Sommelier and Sales & Training teams to ensure staff are knowledgeable about wines, club offerings, and marketplace trends.
• Empower the team to deliver exceptional, brand-aligned guest experiences, with a strong emphasis on personalized service for VIP members
• Support on-going accountability and excellence in execution of all Clubhouse team members
Programs
• Enhance wine club member engagement and retention through thoughtful program execution and elevated guest experiences.
• Collaborate with GM to lead and maintain operational systems for the Guesthouse program, ensuring seamless guest stays and efficient coordination of food, wine, and housekeeping services.
• Partner with the Culinary Team to support a sustainable food and beverage program that aligns with brand standards and minimizes waste.
• Execute targeted Outreach sales efforts to drive revenue and maintain personalized relationships with high-value guests.
• Coordinate staff participation in educational programs, member events, and seasonal initiatives to ensure brand consistency and service excellence.
• Work cross-functionally in order to drive best-in-class customer service & guest experiences throughout the Domaine Serene campus
Projects
• Collaborate with Events Sales Manager to execute private and semi-private events that align with brand standards and elevate the guest experience.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance internal processes, including SOP updates, sample logistics, and inventory systems.
• Oversee Guesthouse program, experience and improvement projects, including cost-saving strategies, cleaning protocols, and service enhancements that increase value for club members.
• Partner with Culinary and Hospitality teams to streamline food, wine, and guest logistics across operational touchpoints.

• Represent the winery with pride and purpose at on-site and off-site events, embodying the “Every Guest, Every Time” philosophy.

• Build relationships with local businesses and community partners to expand brand reach and drive long-term engagement.
• Support the growth of strategic initiatives such as the merchandise program and wine club, reinforcing brand loyalty and guest connection
Requirements and Qualifications
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree with a focus in hospitality or business is preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience in sales and/ or management in service focused organizations required.
• Experience in the wine industry is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint is preferred.
• Proficient in Vin65/Wine Direct and Wine Club processing encouraged.
• Applicants with detail-oriented work habits, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills, and an ability to work under pressure and make decisions independently are requested.
Certificates, Licenses and/or Registrations:
• OLCC Service Permit- required
• Food Handler Card-required
• Certified Sommelier, CSW or WSET Level 2-preferred
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
• Stand for long periods of time
• Weekends required
• Ability to lift and/or move 50 pounds
• Temperature swings between work areas
• Noise level moderate to loud
Compensation Profile
The compensation package is competitive and includes bonus potential. Additional benefits include health, dental and vision care, a 401K program with employer match, term life insurance, paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays.
