memorable experience for our customers. As we continue to grow our business, we are seeking a
dynamic and versatile Tasting Room Manager to play a pivotal role in our success. This role offers a
unique opportunity to wear many hats, contributing to various aspects of our operations and helping
us achieve our goals.
As the Tasting Room Manager, you will serve as a linchpin in our small team, with a diverse set of
responsibilities that touch nearly every facet of our winery's operations. Your role will encompass
administrative, customer service, sales, event coordination, and more, as you help us maintain and
enhance our brand's reputation and contribute to our growth.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Duties:
- Compile and report employee hours for payroll processing.
- Assist with winery payables and accounts.
- Gather information and data needed for compliance and tax filing.
HR and Onboarding:
- Assist in the onboarding process for new employees, providing training and guidance.
- Support in scheduling and coordinating employee shifts.
Customer Experience:
- Own and cultivate an exceptional customer experience in the tasting room.
- Serve wine and guide visitors through tastings, sharing your passion and knowledge of our wines.
Sales Coordination:
- Assist in coordinating sales efforts, including tracking and managing sales orders.
- Provide insights and ideas to enhance sales strategies.
Event Coordination:
- Assist with the planning and coordinating tasting room events, off-site events, and private parties.
- Manage event logistics and ensure a seamless experience for attendees.
Day-to-Day Operations:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the tasting room.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and inviting environment for visitors.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of wine and tasting room supplies.
- Coordinate wine orders and restocking as needed.
We're looking for the perfect person to join our tasting room team.
Candidates should be great storytellers and excellent listeners. They should be able to manage a
packed tasting room with ease and still be able to give every customer the kindness and attention
they deserve. The person we're looking for should be a confident, yet compassionate, team member
- someone who can take directions, work successfully with colleagues and be a wonderful
representative of our family-owned winery.
The person we hire should:
• Have a knowledge of Washington wines.
• Have your MAST permit, be over the age of 21 and be authorized to work in the United States.
• Be reliable and diligent. You must able to multi-task and be fast on your feet.
• Have incredible organizational skills; be a self-starter and a problem solver.
• Have a knowledge of basic computer programs: Excel, Word and the rest. An ability to navigate in OrderPort is helpful.
• Adaptability, patience and flexibility are a must.
• Position will include weekends. You could also be asked to work some evening events.
• Be able to carry 40 pounds (a case of wine)
