Job Description:

Amici Cellars is looking for a California Sales Manager who is highly organized and detail oriented, who enjoys distributor relations and driving sales in the market. The goal of this role is to increase our distribution business and take our brands to the next level. This position will report to the Director of West Coast Sales and will be a key resource for expanding our current sales base. The individual can be located in either Northern or Southern California but will be expected to cover the entire state. Job responsibilities include:

1. Support existing distributors in the state of California. Support includes:
- Conducting account calls to present brands and gain placements
- Evaluating current market sales and accounts to determine targets for new placements
- Analyzing sales files to identify lapsed accounts and expansion opportunities
- Establishment of communication cadence to remain top of distributors mind, drive placements and sales and determine proper programming and pricing in the market.
- Understanding of the major players in the market and their protocols for brand presentations and new placements
- Market visits for wholesaler presentations, account portfolio tastings, and direct-to-consumer events.
- Ongoing Education and Training for wholesaler and account staff
- Distributor oversight and management
2. Support broad market sales
- Conduct tastings and trainings at key accounts both local and out of state

QUALIFICATIONS
•  At least 3 years wine wholesale and distributor management experience required.
•  Knowledge of buyers, promotional practices and operational procedures within the wine industry.
•  Exceptional communication skills, able to command attention and deliver a memorable presentation, and speak knowledgably about wine.
•  Team player that will collaborate with team members, work other markets and support company-wide initiatives.
•  Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task numerous projects at one time.
•  This position is full-time. Hours will vary depending on scheduling needs. Candidates must be willing to have flexible schedules and must be willing to work weekends, evenings, and holidays, as needed.
•  Able to lift 50 pounds.
•  Ability to stand for long periods of time.
•  Ability to prioritize and get things done in a rapidly changing environment.
•  Maintain appropriate dress and personal hygiene standards.
