Marimar Estate Vineyards & Winery is led by the mother-daughter team of Marimar and Cristina Torres. Surrounded by vines and nestled in the rolling hills of West Sonoma County, the winery produces highly acclaimed Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays as well as Spanish varietals (Albariño, Godello, and Tempranillo) from its very own Certified Sustainable vineyards.

Our Catalan-style winery is seeking a Tasting Room Manager who will bring warmth, energy, and creativity to our hospitality program. The ideal candidate is both a strategic leader and a hands-on host—someone who can craft unforgettable guest experiences, deliver strong sales numbers, and cultivate a team culture rooted in excellence and genuine connection. We are looking for an individual who can step into a senior leadership role, is dedicated to building relationships, and will set ambitious goals and inspire the team to exceed them.

This is an estate-based, full-time position with a competitive salary and bonus.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Hospitality & Sales Leadership
•  Champion wine sales and club growth by setting ambitious goals, sharing them with clarity, and inspiring the team to surpass them.
•  Deliver unforgettable premium guest experiences—VIP, trade, and wine club visits—showcasing our unique history, wines, and guiding principles with enthusiasm and polish.
•  Build exemplary and lasting relationships with customers and provide stellar customer service at every guest touchpoint, anticipating needs and creating memorable, lasting impressions.
•  Orchestrate and execute signature onsite and offsite events that captivate guests, deepen brand loyalty, and generate measurable results.
•  Represent the winery with confidence and enthusiasm at industry and community events, expanding reach and influence.
•  Cultivate strategic relationships with top hotels, restaurants, and wineries to drive qualified traffic and elevate the brand’s visibility.
•  Develop and execute innovative sales strategies that boost guest visitation, drive wine sales, and grow club membership.
•  Analyze performance data to adapt tactics and consistently exceed targets.

Team & Leadership Management
•  Inspire and energize the hospitality team through recognition, coaching, and daily engagement that drives excellence.
•  Develop staff talent during onboarding and beyond with robust training in sales mastery, service excellence, and deep product knowledge.
•  Empower team members with clear performance expectations, actionable feedback, and growth-focused mentorship.
•  Optimize staffing plans to align resources with guest demand, ensuring seamless service during peak and off-peak periods.
•  Lead operational excellence in the tasting room, upholding gold-standard procedures in safety and inventory management, amongst other day-to-day activities.


QUALIFICATIONS

•  5+ years of experience in sales and hospitality, with team leadership experience
•  Strong attention to detail and able to adapt and grow with the business
•  Proven ability to be an effective communicator; a brand ambassador and storyteller that enjoys connecting with others
•  Skilled in cultivating a high-performing team culture and developing new tasting room team members
•  Creative problem solver who is nimble, able to act independently and excels in high pressure environments
•  Brings fresh ideas and embraces a growth mindset
