Vias Imports Ltd., a premier family-owned wine and spirits importer, seeks a dynamic Spirits Manager to lead the distribution and sales of our Vias Spirits brands across New York and New Jersey markets. This role is perfect for a sales-focused professional who excels at problem-solving and communication while driving growth in both On-Premise and Off-Premise accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
-Market Expansion & Sales Growth
-Expand the footprint of Vias Spirits throughout the NY and NJ markets
-Identify and secure new account openings across diverse market segments
-Develop existing accounts in partnership with our sales team by:
-Securing new product placements
-Conducting comprehensive staff education programs
-Organizing impactful promotional events
-Education & Training
-Conduct on-premise and off-premise staff training sessions
-Educate sales forces on Vias Spirits' portfolio, positioning, and unique selling points
-Share product knowledge and brand stories to enhance customer engagement
-Event Management & Partnership Development
-Schedule and lead consumer events in collaboration with on-premise and off-premise partners
-Build strategic relationships with key accounts to drive brand visibility
-Represent Vias Spirits at industry events and trade shows
-Sales Operations
-Attend and actively participate in monthly sales meetings and company events.
-Execute sales-focused initiatives aligned with company goals
-Meet and exceed established sales targets and incentive programs
-Provide regular market feedback and competitive intelligence
Ideal Candidate Profile
-Minimum 3 years of experience in the beverage alcohol industry
-Sales-focused mindset with proven track record in beverage alcohol sales
-Excellent problem-solving abilities with a creative approach to market challenges
-Outstanding communication skills for effective relationship building and training
-Experience in both On-Premise (restaurants, bars, hotels) and Off-Premise (retail, liquor stores) channels
-Knowledge of the New York and New Jersey markets is preferred
-Passion for premium spirits and ability to tell compelling brand stories
