Silverado Partners is seeking a Senior Accountant – Hybrid.

Position Summary / Overview
Vineyard Accountant (50%)
A Vineyard Accountant is responsible for analyzing and assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of an organization’s processes and budgeting with regard to vineyard activities. They identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to optimize performance and productivity.

Senior Accountant (50%)
A Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions. They play a crucial role in supporting the financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Vineyard Accountant (50%)
•  Harvest grape tons tracking by Ranch/AVA/variety/facility.
•  Grape contracts.
•  Weigh Tag administration.
•  Grape invoicing.
•  Payments to vineyard management companies.
•  Crop & liability insurance policies.
•  Maintain strong vendor relationships.
•  Communicate information for vineyard appraisals.
•  Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
•  Implement new software as needed.

Senior Accountant (50%)
•  Prepare and maintain financial records, statements, reports and analysis.
•  Maintain accounting software.
•  Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy in financial transactions.
•  Assist in management of multiple entities.
•  Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
•  Provide support during all audits and reviews - financial, tax, and otherwise - to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
•  Calculate overhead allocations.
•  Process A/R and A/P invoices.
•  Collaborate with other staff in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains.
•  Calculate bank covenants.
•  Liaison with outside IT firm.
•  Prepare 1099 filings.
•  Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting principles and best practices.
•  Implement new software as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications
•  Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
•  Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
•  Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
•  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•  Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
•  Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
•  Ability to work independently, as part of a team and meet deadlines.
•  Commitment to continuous improvement.

Preferred Experience
•  Previous experience in accounting or a related field.
•  Vineyard accounting a plus.
•  Quick Books & Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, Excel, Word and Adobe.
•  Opening & closing of Limited Liability Companies.
