Why This Role Matters: As a key member of our leadership team, the Director of DTC & Marketing will define and drive the strategic vision for our direct-to-consumer (DTC) and brand marketing initiatives. In partnership with our acclaimed restaurants, Valette and The Matheson, this role is instrumental in shaping the future of experiential wine marketing for one of Sonoma County’s fastest-growing luxury wine and hospitality brands.


What You'll Do

Strategic Leadership & Growth
-Develop and execute the DTC growth strategy across all consumer touchpoints: tasting lounge, wine club, e-commerce, events, and digital.
-Work with a small team across DTC and marketing functions, building infrastructure and best practices for scale.
-Own KPIs related to DTC revenue, wine club acquisition and retention, customer lifetime value, and brand engagement.

Wine Club & E-Commerce Oversight
-Oversee wine club operations: strategic planning, member experience, fulfillment logistics, retention campaigns, and performance reporting.
-Ensure a high-touch, personalized experience for top-tier members and high-value guests.
-Manage e-commerce platform optimization, online promotions, and digital sales performance.

Brand & Marketing Strategy
-Lead the brand marketing strategy including content development, campaign planning, digital and seasonal promotions.
-Oversee the creation and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across email, social media, website, and other media.
-Lead winery outreach to local concierge, restaurant and winery partners.
-Drive promotional efforts to open Valette Wine Lounge and drive traffic for visitation.

Experience & Hospitality Integration
-Collaborate with the culinary and hospitality teams to develop unforgettable guest experiences that bridge wine and food.
-Curate and lead wine events, private tastings, seasonal activations, and offsite promotional events to drive awareness and sales.

What We’re Looking For
-5–8 years of progressive experience in DTC wine, luxury hospitality, or marketing leadership.
-Proven track record managing wine clubs, DTC sales, and digital marketing strategies.
-Strong leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
-Deep understanding of wine consumers, luxury brand marketing, and experiential sales strategies.
-Proficiency in platforms such as Mailchimp, Commerce &, WineDirect/Figure, ShipCompliant, Squarespace/Shopify, and CRM tools.
-Exceptional communication, storytelling, and brand-building skills.
-Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field required; MBA or WSET certification a plus.
