About the Role
We’re hiring a Key Account Specialist to manage a North Bay territory that includes Marin, Sonoma, and Napa. This role is responsible for sales and relationship management across up to 100 key accounts per supplier, working closely with a portfolio of five supplier partners, some of which represent multiple brands.
You’ll serve as the primary point of contact between accounts and suppliers—building deep relationships with top buyers, placing and managing orders, coordinating activations, and gathering market feedback. This is a focused, high-touch sales role suited for someone who knows how to build momentum across both the on- and off-premise.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a seasoned sales professional with a proven track record in spirits and a strong existing book of business. You should have established relationships with premier buyers across top restaurants, bars, and independent retail accounts. A sharp understanding of the North Bay market and how to navigate its opportunities is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Manage sales activity for a curated list of up to 100 on- and off-premise accounts per supplier, with many accounts overlapping between suppliers
Represent five supplier partners (with multiple brands) in-market
Build and maintain relationships with high-performing buyers
Host tastings, staff trainings, and buyer-facing events
Host and lead monthly check-in calls with supplier partners to align on goals, feedback, and performance
Provide market insights and placement feedback to suppliers
Track orders, follow-ups, and performance using internal systems
Travel regularly throughout the territory to support brand growth
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in the spirits industry (distributor, supplier, or broker)
Strong existing relationships in both on- and off-premise channels
Familiarity with top-tier buyers in Marin, Sonoma, and Napa
Experience with premium and craft-spirits portfolios
Excellent communication, follow-up, and organization skills
Self-starter with a solutions-oriented mindset
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $90,000 annually, paid in accordance with Freebrook’s regular payroll schedule
Performance-Based Compensation: Up to $30,000 annually, paid quarterly, based on achievement of mutually agreed-upon goals and KPIs
Total On-Target Earnings (OTE): $120,000 annually
Monthly Expense Stipend: $1,000 flat rate per month to cover expenses such as mileage, account support (e.g., food and beverage for meetings or events), and incidental business costs
Bonus Opportunities: Additional bonus compensation may be awarded for successfully securing private label placements or strategic account wins, subject to CEO approval
Benefits:
Medical and dental coverage beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment
Expense reimbursement for any pre-approved travel or business costs not covered by the monthly stipend
