Assistant Winemaker

The Production Assistant Winemaker role is a key position within our company, responsible for directing and coordinating cellar operations and wine making processes as well as production of our highest quality wines and concentrates under the direction of our experienced winemaker.
Our ideal candidate possesses:
An Enology or Fermentation Science Degree.
Formulates monthly, weekly, and daily work schedules and work orders.
A good understanding of technical and standard wine and juice analysis.
Supervises personnel and seasonal winemaking employees.
Work on ongoing development of winemaking procedures.
Good understanding of general winemaking.
Record keeping including experience with Microsoft Excel and word and winemaking databases.
Occasionally able to conduct tours and tastings.
Full Time with retirement, health insurance, and vacation plan.

Physical Requirements:
Be able to work indoors and outdoors
Cold, warm and hot environments
in high places
Wet surfaces
Near forklifts, trucks, and moving equipment
'Sit and stand for extended periods of time
Lift up to 50 Pounds
