Do you want an immersive, hands-on harvest experience at a small, premium winery? Grassini Family Vineyards is looking for TWO detail-oriented, passionate and motivated people to join our small (but mighty) team for the 2025 Harvest! Our harvest interns are an integral part of our small production team, and you will work alongside our winemaker and his team to learn about and work on all aspects of crush activities throughout the harvest season. The days can be long, but we make it fun, the work is rewarding, and you’ll definitely learn a lot! If you are looking for a hands-on experience that will expose you to a wide range of winemaking skills, we bet you’ll find this opportunity rewarding!

This is a paid internship for full-time, seasonal work starting immediately and goes through November 30th. There is an opportunity for this position to develop into a full-time, year round position for the right person - impress us, and this could be more than a seasonal gig with housing!

Grassini Family Vineyards is a family-owned estate winery in the Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara AVA in Santa Ynez, CA. We’re passionate about crafting roughly 8,500 cases of ultra-premium Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc from the 65 acres of vineyards we have planted on our 200 acre ranch. (We also love cute dogs, friendly barn cats and long hikes in the local mountains.)

Compensation:
Competitive pay rates, starting at $21/hr, depending on experience.

Our Ideal Candidate:
Hardworking, dependable and passionate about making premium wine
Previous cellar experience is desired but not required.
Detail-oriented, organized, and a “can-do” attitude is preferred!
Willing to get dirty! Tasks include sorting grapes, punchdowns, pumpovers, must sampling, barrel downs, tasting and lots of cleaning.
Familiarity with forklifts is awesome but not required.
Good communicator, able to work well with others.

Requirements:
As with most agricultural jobs, candidates must be able to climb stairs, push/pull heavy objects (like pumps and bins) weighing 60+ pounds, and stand for long periods of time in both cold and hot weather.
Candidates are expected to work long hours including nights and weekends.This position requires the candidates to work overtime, weekends, and holidays. This position starts immediately and goes through November.
