Our focus primarily centers around family owned and operated producers that are leaders in their respective categories, and in many cases utilize organic and sustainable farming practices. Gravitas Wine Marketing is a fast-growing company with veteran leadership. We are looking for Sales Representatives in Los Angeles - one West Side / Coastal, and one Beverly Hills / Downtown / Pasadena. We are seeking sales professionals who are motivated self-starters that are organized, focused, creative, connected, and knowledgeable. The ideal candidates are looking to become part of a dynamic company with the potential of increased responsibility and income as we grow. The territory currently includes key accounts and existing business that requires a high level of customer service.
Responsibilities & Duties
• Establish and manage buyer relationships at all accounts throughout territory.
• Regularly conduct sales calls upon existing and potential customers within the assigned territory.
• Increase sales and revenue by targeting wine list and retail placements in each account.
• Meet new account goals through cold calling and lead follow-up.
• Recognize sales opportunities, challenges, and corresponding solutions.
• Conduct staff education events and distribute educational materials in support of the portfolio.
• Execute and support supplier and company work-withs, tasting events, and promotions.
• Actively participate in monthly sales meetings, individual goal reviews, and education.
Qualifications
• Experience in outside WINE sales - 3 years minimum.
• Effective at selling to both independent retailers and on-premise accounts.
• Broad and deep wine knowledge regarding imports – specifically French, Italian, and Southern Hemisphere.
• Proven past sales success, ability to maximize opportunities with key accounts and existing contacts and experience within sales territory a plus.
• Must reside within territory.
• Must be able to work independently, take ownership of assigned duties while managing multiple priorities.
• A professional knowledge of fine wine and/or certification with WSET or CMS preferred.
• Must be goal oriented, well organized, wine-passionate, assertive individual that is comfortable cold calling.
• Must be able to lift 40-pound cases and other point-of-sale materials and displays with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be computer literate
• Must have own transportation, possess a valid driver license, proof of auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
Compensation
$48,000 Annual Base
5% Commission – for all sales above $25k / month
$500 – monthly expenses
$500 – medical reimbursement max (QSEHRA)
Additional incentives available periodically
