We are seeking a tenacious and enthusiastic Hospitality Associate to help us grow into the next stage of our brand experiences. As a tight-knit work family who is driven by innovating and maintaining best in class service, we are continuing to raise the bar of what is possible. We recently built a new outdoor tasting space with iconic 360-degree valley, vineyard, and mountain views plus are in the process of building a new production facility that will provide multiple spaces for unique tasting experiences.
Position Summary
The Hospitality Associate will be responsible for leading tastings and hospitality experiences with guests. As a team member, you will create memorable connections between guests and the Walla Walla Vintners brand, helping them discover wines they enjoy most while increasing wine club membership. As a brand ambassador, you will share our story and leave a lasting impression of what sets Walla Walla Vintners apart.
We strive to create an environment that is welcoming, approachable and fun with some of the best wines in the Walla Walla Valley. Our wines are produced and bottled on-site at the winery, and our estate vineyards frame in the property just steps away, which will offer an opportunity for guests to truly interact with the estate.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Craft unique, memorable tasting experiences.
• Provide the highest level of customer service to our visitors.
• Represent Walla Walla Vintners professionally, graciously, and enthusiastically.
• Maintain a welcoming, warm, and clean tasting environment.
• Contribute to winery sales and wine club sign-up goals.
• Capture customer contact information for later marketing activities.
• Process orders accurately using our POS system.
• Support management with tasks and assignments as needed.
• Assist with inventory management and restocking.
• Assist with packing boxes/shipping during wine club processing in the Spring and Fall as well as other times when shipping needs are heavy.
• Participate in special events and off-site pouring opportunities as needed.
• Host larger groups as assigned.
• Assist with weekly cleaning tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Strong customer service skills with keen attention to detail.
• Professional attitude and a strong work ethic.
• Energetic and personable with guests.
• Sales-motivated with a passion for wine.
• Minimum of 2 years of hospitality/sales experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay proactive during slower periods.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods.
• Availability to work weekends and some holidays.
Physical Requirements
Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, be able to stand and sit for extended periods of time and be able to repeatedly lift and carry 40 pounds. Schedule is negotiable but likely includes most weekends, special events, some holidays, and occasional evenings.
