PART TIME TASTING HALL ASSOCIATE

Engage with visitors to educate on our winemaking style, tell our story and help guests enjoy their discoveries by bringing wine home and/or becoming a club member. Perform all daily Tasting Hall functions; opening and closing facility, tracking guest count and customer transactions, processing transactions, preparing cheese and charcuterie platters, stocking wine, cleaning restrooms, and general housekeeping duties.

Candidates must be 21 years or older, have OLCC servers license and food handlers permit, be able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and stand for long hours.

DUTIES
•  Greet visitors, educate guests about wines and the story of our winery respond to customer questions; build and maintain relationships with regular customers and club members.
•  Encourage bottle sales, wine club memberships, promote winery events and create a memorable experience for our visitors.
•  Prepare and serve food as needed for cheese plates, private dinners and food pairings.
•  Ensures that every visitor is satisfied with their experience and leaves with a very high impression of our winery.
•  Share knowledge about wines, accurately describes varietal characteristics, winemaking processes, winery story, and unique characteristics of wines.
•  Take initiative for professional self-development in knowledge of local wineries, winemaking styles, premium tasting experiences and wine club membership offerings.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
•  Commitment to excellence, and high standards in customer service during busy times with focus on exceptional consumer experience and wine sales
•  Always possess professional appearance and demeanor
•  Strong computer proficiency and point of sales experience; basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, respond to emails in a timely manner
•  Required to be 21 years of age or older, hold OLCC servers license and food handlers permit
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and comfortable unloading/moving wine cases
•  Able to stand on feet for prolonged time
•  Flexible availability to work Saturdays and Sundays, evenings and special events
•  Ability to effectively set-up and break down tables, chairs, and patio furniture
•  Ability to understand and accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
•  Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and multi-task while maintaining positive atmosphere for all customers and coworkers
•  Wine related experience helpful and knowledge of wines and wine production a must

SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION
Part Time Position with opportunity for Full Time, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays required.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience
