Solminer is a family owned and operated vineyard and winery in the Santa Ynez Valley, CA. We make organic, biodynamic® and regenerative organic, low intervention, natural wines and focus on Austrian varietals, like Grüner Veltliner and Blaufränkisch. Our tasting room is in the heart of Los Olivos.

We are looking for a bright and creative individual who has a passion for wine, customer service, sales and building relationships in our tasting room. This person should be outgoing, dependable and friendly. They should be a quick learner, be able to work independently and bring a curiosity about regenerative organic and biodynamic farming and winemaking. They should also understand and participate in creating an environment of inclusion and acceptance.

We are a small team so you will be working directly with our General Manager and owners and will be mainly responsible for managing busy and lucrative weekend shifts. You will also be scheduled for some weekday shifts and may assist in daily managerial and administrative duties. Ideally available 3-4 days per week but we are flexible on hours with the right candidate.

Position Responsibilities:
- Work with our team to organize and maintain our busy tasting room in Los Olivos
- Make our guests feel welcome and provide an excellent customer experience
- Share our story, recruit people to our wine club and sell wine
- Efficiently and accurately handle POS and wine club transactions
- Keep tasting room clean and inviting, including washing and polishing glassware
- Organize events, farm stays and private tours of vineyard and winery
- Work with our team on administrative, shipping, inventory-related and miscellaneous responsibilities as needed.
- Occasionally assists the vineyard and wine production team
- Assist with marketing, PR and social media
- Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all current health and safety requirements.

Requirements:
- Passion for communicating about organic farming, naturally made wine and making sales of those wines
- Customer service experience strongly desired
- Wine experience/knowledge a plus
- Commerce7 POS experience a plus
- Strong work ethic and team player
- Ability to work comfortably in a busy environment
- Computer literacy a must
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must be okay with being on their feet for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be available weekends and holidays

Compensation:
$19-22 hourly based on experience with room for growth. plus tips, wine club commission, sick pay and employee discounts.
