McMenamins Edgefield Winery & Ciderhouse is Hiring for the 2025 Vintage!

We offer a unique harvest opportunity to work with a wide variety of grapes from Oregon and Washington. We process around 275 tons of grapes annually and produce still, sparkling, and fortified wines, as well as making hard cider. The winery is housed at McMenamins’ historic Edgefield property, located just 15 minutes outside Portland in Troutdale, OR. In addition to the winery & cidery, Edgefield is home to a historic hotel, three restaurants, multiple bars, a brewery, a distillery, a golf course, a spa, and much more. We are seeking seasonal cellar crewmembers who are looking for hands-on experience to be a part of all the great things happening here!

The positions will start approximately mid-August and run through early November.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Harvest Cellar Crewmembers will assist the production team with the following:
•  Lots of sanitizing cellar equipment and tanks.
•  Fruit Processing (receiving, crushing, pressing)
•  Additions and Inoculations
•  Cap Management (pump-overs/ punch-downs)
•  Draining, digging and pressing off bins and tanks.
•  Barrel Work
•  Other harvest-related duties, as required.

Qualifications Needed:
•  Prior cellar and/or forklift experience is preferred, although not required.
•  Willing and capable to work long and hard hours, including overtime, weekends, and evenings. Harvest shifts are 6 days a week for 10-12 hours a shift.
•  Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
•  Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and complete other physically demanding tasks.
•  Ok climbing ladders and working at various heights.
•  Understand and comply with all safety requirements.
•  Ability to read, follow, and complete work orders in English.
•  Effective communication skills.
•  Must be 21 years of age or older.
•  Positive attitude and willingness to learn!
