Job Description:
Keller Estate is looking for a fantastic intern who will participate in all aspects of harvest work and provide hands-on support to all winemaking needs in the cellar. This is a great opportunity for candidates to learn the importance and uniqueness of Estate grown fruit. All of the wines are made from fruit on this property. Interns will work closely between vineyard and cellar. Candidates must have a positive attitude, strong work ethic and possess a great attention to detail and a passion for wine. Internship starts in August and ends early November.

You work alongside our cellar team and be involved in all aspects of cellar operations during harvest, which includes, but are not limited to:

•  Processing and sorting fruit.
•  Pump-overs/punch downs.
•  Tank and barrel additions.
•  Draining tanks, operating white and red presses.
•  Barrel preparation & filling.
•  Fermentation monitoring.
* There will be some bottling happening towards the end of harvest and potentially at the beginning.
•  Lots of cleaning.

Qualifications:
•  At least 1 harvest season experience.
•  A passion and desire to learn about wine production.
•  Strong organizational and communication skills.
•  Ability to work while bending, twisting, squatting, pushing, pulling, reaching overhead, or kneeling for 2 to 3 hours continuously and up to 12 hours per day.
•  Ability to lift 50 pounds.
•  May require the ability to learn forklift operation.
•  Willingness to work long hours, and weekends.
•  Must pass a pre-employment physical.
