We are looking for a sales representative to work our extensive wine, beer, and spirits portfolio in Rock Hill/ Fort Mill/ Tega Cay South Carolina. The purpose of the Sales Representative is to provide our customers with exemplary service, create relationships, be dependable and dedicated and take the initiative of your sales territory while maintaining the integrity of Aleph Wines values with a positive attitude
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Meet established weekly, monthly, and yearly goals
-Develop a sales and marketing plan to sell the wine, spirit, and non-alcoholic products represented by Aleph Wines within the assigned territory
-Cold call existing and new restaurants, Wine, Beer, & Liquor shops, Grocery outlets, and Non alcoholic accounts within the territory to develop new business
-Develop and continue to build relationships.
-Consistently and reliably make account calls. Take and place orders in a timely, error-proof fashion
-Introduce new products; inform accounts of price changes
-Monitor growth and opportunities within the territory with the use of weekly and monthly reporting tools
-Be(come) aware of competition, territory trends, adjustments within accounts
-Communicate in an extremely timely manner with customers, the office, and management
-Coordinate and conduct supplier ride-withs, in-store tastings, wine dinners, charity events, and staff training
-Work with the accounting department to resolve payment issues within the territory
-Work with the warehouse to coordinate product delivery, including assisting with deliveries during holidays, short weeks, and staffing shortages
-Attend team and company meetings when required
-May require lifting, lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 45lbs
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Prioritize and pre-plan daily to maintain and grow business
-Become informed of new account activity, buyer shifts, opportunities (transcending territory as well)
-Work to improve education and knowledge on all aspects of fine wine & spirits and adjuncts
-Continue to develop wine knowledge, business acumen, and sales skills
-Other duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
-Prefer some experience in the fine wine market, and general knowledge of beer and spirits.
-Knowledge of the wine-growing regions and grapes around the world, beer knowledge, and spirits knowledge
-Resident of Rock Hill area (North or South Carolina)
-Be at least 21 years old with a valid SC/NC driver’s license and insurance
-Proven customer service skills
-Proficiency with essential computer software (Word, Excel) to generate proposals, staff trainings, etc. Excellent writing skills
-Familiarity with restaurant inventorying, ordering, and stocking patterns
-Comfort with various markup schedules; ability to conduct ‘consultant-level’ discussions of same
-Advanced proficiency with determining opportunity by observation, informal interview of buyer
-Demonstrated presentation, communication, interpersonal skills required of personnel so classified.
-All personnel may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed.
