Established in 1988, Patz & Hall is renowned for crafting exquisite, award-winning single-vineyard Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, utilizing grapes sourced from some of California's most esteemed vineyards. James Hall, the visionary founder and winemaker, has recently reacquired the winery, restoring its status as an independently owned entity after a period under corporate ownership. Wine Educator (part-time Saturday & Sundays required)

-Guide the guests through their wine tasting experience - focus on geology/climate of our winemaking region, our specific winemaking practices, varietal details and origins, history of our winemaking region
-Host private tastings, give winery tours with confidence and proper service techniques
-Participate/pour at events - Wine club pick up parties, wine festivals, winemaker dinners, etc.
-Help with social media, marketing and wine club
-Consistently demonstrate a friendly, knowledgeable, and professional attitude and a strong attention to detail
-Connect with each guest so they leave feeling like they are part of the Sonoma/Napa community
-Ask for sales related to wine clubs and up-selling
-Identify our wine club members and make them feel extra-special
-Maintain a clean, sanitary and welcoming environment in the tasting room


Desired Qualities & Attributes

-A contagious enthusiasm for wine (and a strong motivation to continue learning)
-At least 2 years wine industry and/or hospitality experience - tasting room/DTC sales preferred!
-Flexibility to work extra shifts to cover others on vacation etc.
-Possess excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
-Highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented with the ability to work in a diverse environment
-Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Proficiency in Commerce 7 and Tock is a plus.
-Must have a California driver’s license and reliable transportation
-Be able to lift 40 lbs. and stand for long periods of time
