We are a statewide wine and beer distribution company seeking a dependable wholesale sales representative in the Triangle area who is focused, goal-oriented and continuously learning. While the majority of your accounts would be in the Cary area, this position would have accounts throughout the triangle, including Raleigh.
Our portfolio of over 2,500 domestic and international products is aimed to bring stand out offerings to discerning restaurants and wine shops, which means you would primarily represent independent craft breweries and small, family run wineries. To be competitive, a high degree of customer service along with organization and attention to detail are vital. Our portfolio opens doors, but it is your drive to excel that secures new accounts and achieves sales growth.
The right candidate understands that it will require self-motivation, natural curiosity and enthusiastic research to learn about our wines and beers; and who can capably utilize the tools Freedom Beverage provides to represent our brands in a prepared and professional manner. Personal responsibility, continual prospecting, networking and accountability are the keys to success in this role.
Wholesale customer relationships are the cornerstone of our business. The Raleigh sales representative should have established contacts and relationships in both on and off premise accounts with the ability to secure by-the-glass pours, conduct restaurant sales training and wine/beer dinners, build and maintain case displays, proper point of sale distribution, and conduct consumer tastings.
Requirements include:
* High School Diploma. Associate's degree or higher preferred.
* Clear criminal background and driving record.
* Must reside within the Cary, NC area and be willing to travel within the Triangle region.
* Ability to communicate with clarity and consistency, both verbally and in writing.
* Outstanding customer service and account management skills, problem solving, and good follow through is a must.
* Stellar email etiquette and proficient computer skills to include spreadsheets, presentations and word processing applications within the Google Workspace suite and industry related software such as SevenFifty.
* Flexible weekly schedule that may include the need to work evening and weekend hours.
* Ability to lift and carry at least 40 pounds, drive and stand for extended periods of time.

Compensation package includes base salary + commission, cell phone and car allowance. Your sales targets will be set with your territory sales manager each month, with a tiered commission based on achieving your established sales goals.
