Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cellar Hand to join our production team. This position is full-time, averaging 30 hours per week during the winter months (January–March) and full-time hours from April through December.
Responsibilities:
Perform all aspects of cellar work including:
-Grape processing during harvest
-Racking, blending, and additions
-Tank and equipment cleaning and sanitization
-Barrel work (filling, topping, cleaning)
-Assist with bottling operations
-Operate and maintain cellar equipment safely
-Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
-Support harvest activities including long hours and weekend work during peak season
Qualifications:
-Minimum of 1 harvest of hands-on cellar experience required
-Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
-Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment
-Comfort with repetitive tasks and working both independently and as part of a team
-Ability to work extended hours during harvest (September–November)
-Positive attitude and interest in wine production
Schedule & Compensation:
-Full-time April through December, with extended hours during harvest
-30 hours/week January–March
-Competitive hourly wage based on experience
