Tasting Room Lead
Emeritus Vineyards is looking for a dynamic Tasting Room Lead to join our company. This role will report to the Tasting Room Manager. You will be responsible for driving sales and ensuring a high-touch customer experience for all customers and visitors to our tasting room. We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic and eager to contribute to the Tasting Room team and our company.
The position is an hourly, part-time position, 3-4 days/week, 7-8 hours/day onsite at Emeritus. Occasionally, we’ll ask you to work weekends or after-hours for events and off-site pourings.
You Are

•  Strong organizational and communication skills (verbal and written)
•  1+ years of related experience in retail, sales, or tasting room management
•  Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS) from a 4-year college or university; or 12-24 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
•  Able to lift and carry 45+ lbs and work on your feet.
•  Current, valid Driver’s License, insurable driving record, and proof of automobile insurance required
•  Wine certification (Court, WSET, CSW) preferred but not required
You’ll be doing: Tasting Room Support
•  Help to achieve monthly and annual Tasting Room sales goals
•  Responsible for overseeing operations including but not limited to - opening/closing of tasting room, monitoring of incoming emails/voice messages, inventory, reporting, customer enquiries, and assisting with Club pickups
•  Maintain in-depth knowledge of our wines, our winemaking techniques, the vineyards, the brand, our history, and the winery itself. Communicate these with clarity and passion to guests in the tasting room and to members of the Tasting Room Team
•  Mentor the Tasting Room Team to deliver excellent and proactive customer service, that is high-touch, elevated, and friendly
