About Us: Walla Walla Wine Services is a premier custom crush facility offering comprehensive winemaking services to support Washington’s dynamic wine industry.

Position Summary: We are seeking a Harvest Intern to join our team for the 2025 crush season (approximately mid-September through December). This hands-on role reports to the Operations Manager and Production Supervisors and is involved in all aspects of harvest cellar operations. It’s an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain practical winemaking experience, work alongside an experienced team, and be exposed to a wide range of stylistic approaches and production techniques.

This position requires full-time availability and schedule flexibility. Hours may vary depending on workload and will likely include overtime during peak periods.

Key Responsibilities:
•  Clean and sanitize tanks, crush equipment, and cellar areas
•  Process and sort fruit
•  Perform fermentation tasks: pumpovers, saignée, additions, and inoculations
•  Drain and dig out fermenters
•  Operate and support press activities
•  Fill and top barrels
•  Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
•  Enthusiastic about quality wine production
•  Hard-working, self-motivated, and dependable, with a positive attitude
•  Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
•  Works well in a small team and contributes to a collaborative environment
•  Able to work efficiently, safely, and effectively under pressure
•  Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs and completing repetitive tasks
•  Forklift experience preferred
•  Degree or certificate in Enology or a related field, along with relevant experience, preferred

Compensation
$17 – 19/hour, depending on experience
Eligible for overtime
