Job Description:

We are hiring for a full-time, salaried Tasting Room Sales Associate position for Evening Land Vineyards. This position will report to the Hospitality Manager. The Tasting Room Sales Associate will create a welcoming and engaging environment for our guests, guide them through our wine offerings, and promote sales. This is an excellent opportunity for wine enthusiasts passionate about hospitality to work in a beautiful setting and share their knowledge with others. This role is multi-faceted and requires a high level of adaptability and evolution. This is a full-time position. Please expect to be on-site at the Vineyards daily.

Responsibilities:
•  Guest Experience:
o Provide exceptional customer service and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.
o Perform pre-visit research, communicate and greet guests promptly and courteously upon arrival.
o Educate guests about Evening Land Vineyards, our winemaking philosophy, history, and the unique characteristics of our wines.
o Conduct guided wine tastings, delivering high-level hospitality, and answering questions.
o Handle guest inquiries and resolve any concerns in a professional and timely manner.
o Willing to participate in off-site events and experiences as needed.

•  Sales and Promotion:
o Promote and sell Evening Land Vineyards wines, wine club memberships, and other merchandise.
o Achieve sales goals and contribute to the overall success of the tasting room.
o Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
o Maintain accurate records of sales and inventory in HubSpot and Shopify.
o Promote Evening Land Vineyards events and special offerings.
o Collaborate with Ecommerce and Customer Service teams seasonally on outreach and email campaign responsibilities.
o Build personal client list for direct sales campaigns via outbound phone, SMS, and email channels.


•  Vineyard Operations:
o Assist with opening and closing procedures, including setting up and breaking down tasting stations.
o Assist with packing, shipping and inventory tracking for customer orders.
o Manage and schedule wine club & local pick-up orders at the vineyard.
o Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the various tasting areas.
o Restock wine and merchandise as needed.
o Assist with inventory management and organization.
o Perform other duties as assigned by the Hospitality Manager.


Qualifications:
•  Experience:
o Previous experience in a sales or customer service role, preferably in a winery, restaurant, or hospitality setting.

•  Knowledge/Skills:
o Passion for food & wine and a strong desire to learn more.
o Excellent communication, interpersonal, and sales skills.
o Ability to engage with diverse groups of people and provide outstanding customer service.
o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
o Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o Have a desire to participate in harvest activities.

•  Other Requirements:
o Must be at least 21 years of age.
o Lifting and carrying boxes of wine and merchandise, typically weighing up to 40 lbs., to assist customers with purchases.
o Must be able to stand for extended periods.
o Maneuvering through vineyards and winery facilities, occasionally navigating uneven terrain.
o Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor that reflects our winery’s high standards. Utilize button-down shirts and aprons provided by Evening Land Vineyards and Provignage.
o Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
o OLCC server permit required.
o Previous experience in a winery tasting room preferred.
o Formal wine education (e.g., WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers) preferred.

•  Compensation:
o Annual salary ranges between $55,000 - $65,000 + bonus opportunities.
o Monthly commission and wine club incentives.
o Monthly cell phone reimbursement.
