2025 Harvest Intern

Illahe Vineyards & Winery

Dallas, OR

2025 Harvest Intern

Job Description:

Illahe Vineyards is looking for harvest interns for the upcoming 2024 season.

Illahe Vineyards is a 20,000 case winery in the heart of the Willamette Valley. We focus on producing interesting and high quality pinot noir, pinot gris, gruner veltliner, viognier and tempranillo. Our goal is to strike a balance between new and old world styles, which for us means making wine in a pragmatically natural way. We enjoy blending a mix of cutting edge and historical winemaking techniques and equipment including a bicycle powered pump and destemmer, as well as using horses in the vineyard.

Illahe is a tight knit team and any intern would be fully welcomed into that fold. We strive to integrate all interns into every aspect of the winemaking process (no getting stuck lees filtering for six weeks).

Harvest roles round’ the winery include fruit sorting, punching down fermenters, barrel work, racking, biking wine (fancy biking shorts not required) and laboratory analysis.

Prior harvest experience is appreciated but not required. The ideal applicant would be excited about the winemaking process, very hardworking with a special amount of attention to detail, and skills putting on vinyl albums throughout the day.

Harvest would run from the early/mid-September thru the end of October. Plan on working six days a week often 10-12 hours a day. Daily lunch and snacks are provided.
