Tasting House Lead

Job Description:

Anacréon Winery is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Tasting House Lead to assist with our brand-new tasting house operations (Opening July 24th, 2025). This multifaceted role is perfect for someone with a passion for wine, outstanding hospitality skills, and experience in winery tasting rooms. The ideal candidate will ensure exceptional visitor experiences and effectively manage Anacréon tasting experiences and seasonal events.

Start Date: *July 20 - August 1st

Key Responsibilities:
•  Assisting Hospitality Director with daily operations of the tasting room, including co-managing tasting house seasonal staff, reservations, hosting tasting experiences & ensuring exceptional service standards for all visitor experiences.
•  Develop creative strategies to enhance wine sales and wine club memberships.
•  Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, guests, and community members.
•  Assist in monitoring inventory with wine and merchandise stock levels.
•  May be asked to prepare reports on tasting room & event sales goals to management.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
•  Proven experience in hospitality, particularly in a tasting room or similar setting.
•  Excellent organizational and leadership skills, capable of multi-tasking.
•  Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members.
•  A passion for wine and a commitment to learning about the specifics of Anacréon wines.
•  Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as required by seasonal event schedules.

Qualifications:
•  Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or 3-5 years tasting room experience, events experience or related field preferred.
•  Experience in wine sales or a related field.
•  Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer software (e.g., MS Office).
•  Wine certifications (e.g., WSET, CMS) are advantageous but not required.
•  Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds daily.
•  OLCC server permit.
•  Oregon Food-Handlers Permit Required.
