Since 1983, Vehrs Distributing has been on a mission to create and deliver the best premium wine and spirits portfolio in the Pacific Northwest. As our company continues to grow its portfolio to include non-alcoholic beverages and expand to more customers in the Western Washington region, we are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will leverage your dynamic approach and passion for innovation to drive retail sales, build strong customer relationships, and contribute to our ongoing success in the marketplace.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Customer & Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with all accounts in the assigned territory.
• Communicate with customers in a positive and solution-oriented manner to ensure superior service.
• Schedule and conduct special tasting events (e.g., wine club promotions, winemaker dinners, and restaurant/retail activations) to drive incremental sales.
• Educate customers through product presentations, seminars, and promotional initiatives.
Sales & Distribution Growth:
• Expand points of distribution and ensure optimal shelf placement, displays, and brand visibility in off-premises accounts (retail/grocery).
• Develop and maintain wine-by-the-glass (BTG) programs, wine list placements, and on-premises promotions (restaurants/bars/hotels).
• Drive revenue growth across all business channels to meet or exceed corporate forecasts and territory expectations.
• Prospect and onboard new accounts, coordinating portfolio presentations to secure placements.
Inventory & Merchandising:
• Maintain a sellable inventory by restocking shelves, rotating product, and ensuring proper cold box/wine display management.
• Monitor inventory levels, promptly communicating shortages to store managers and order entry teams.
• Execute merchandising standards, including building displays, updating pricing, and ensuring compliance with company and account guidelines.
Operational Excellence:
• Work independently to plan and prioritize daily sales activities while meeting key performance metrics.
• Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and account-specific requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
>Proven ability to manage and develop an established territory while actively prospecting and acquiring new accounts.
>Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to cultivate and maintain lasting customer rapport.
>Experience interacting with key accounts and creating compelling, educational sales presentations for both on- and off- premises accounts.
>Goal-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting and exceeding company sales targets.
>Exceptional time management, organizational, and business planning skills to effectively run your territory.
>Self-motivated and capable of working independently while sharing successes and addressing challenges collaboratively.
>Excellent communication skills with the ability to identify and address customer needs effectively.
>A competitive drive to win and the ability to close deals with confidence.
>Familiarity with high-profile key accounts in the designated area is highly preferred.
>Proficiency in essential computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite / 365.
>Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and physical abilities test (including lifting 50 lbs., walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching).
>Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation are essential to succeed in the role.
>Two or more years of sales experience in the wine, spirits, or non-alcoholic beverage industry is preferred.

Compensation: We offer a competitive compensation package, including:
>A $45,000 annual guarantee with 6.5% commission over guarantee.
